Takeru Ohe, Vice President of Japan Operations
Ohe also serves on the Board of Directors of LSI Logic K.K., a semiconductor manufacturer; Nihon Semiconductor K.K., a joint venture between Kawasaki Steel and LSI Logic Corporation; Cognex Japan K.K., a Boston-based machine vision manufacturer; and Silicon Valley Research K.K., a California-based LSI layout software developer.

In addition to his other responsibilities, Dr. Ohe conducts workshops in Japan on corporate venturing. His clients include, among others: Olympus, Konica, IBM, NTT, Omron, Matsushita Electric, Nippon Signal, Sumitomo Metal Mining, IHI, and Kawasaki Steel. Dr. Ohe holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics from the University of Maryland, and an M.B.A from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He received his BS degree in Physics from Nippon University in Tokyo. He continues to publish papers and articles in scholarly journals, magazines, and newspapers in diversified fields including technology forecasting entrepreneurial phenomena. He is author of Entrepreneurship: Management and Support, published in 1994. He has also co-authored five books: Science Revolution, on the future of Japanese technology, published in 1982; The Making of a Corporate Entrepreneur, on entrepreneurship in large Japanese corporations, published in 1990; Corporate Venture Success in Japan, on corporate venture activities, published 1991; Entreprenership in Japan, published in 1995; and Entrepreneurs, published in 1996. |
